Reading Is Fashionable: Good Book Hunting: Lucky Charm
I just finished a wonderful book called Lucky Charm by Marie Astor and I can very well see this book converted into a movie. As a lover of Fashion, Art and creativity, I love that most of the characters in the book, Annabel- an advertising copy writer,
Lilly- an aspiring fashion designer, Meridith-an aspiring pastry chef?, Etienne-works with Hollywood and yes even Jeremy- who is an aspiring author Not (you’ll see what I mean), are all involved in creative careers.
The book highlights the unfortunate happenings of love lost, the fortunate & unexpected happenings of love found, and all that often encompasses both.
Mostly, I adore that the women in the book were all of strong characters.
Well check out more about the Author and the Book Description and be sure to buy the book at Amazon. It’s a must read!!!!

More on the Book:
Twenty-eight-year old Annabel Green is about to tie the knot with her college love, an aspiring author Jeremy Blake, but her plans for an ideal wedding are rudely interrupted when she catches Jeremy kissing his gorgeous book agent.
Shell-shocked by Jeremy’s betrayal, Annabel retreats into the quiet routine of TV dinners and solitary evenings. It is then that Annabel’s best friend, fashion designer Lilly Clayton, sets herself on a mission to draw Annabel out of her shell. In an attempt to persuade Annabel to keep an open mind on dating, Lilly takes Annabel for a stunning makeover, but after Annabel passes on a date with a dashing entrepreneur, Lilly decides that more drastic measures are needed. Lilly invites Annabel to see a palm reader who gives Annabel a lucky charm that is supposed to help her find true love.
A few weeks later, during her trip to Paris, Annabel meets a handsome Parisian, and as the two embark on a whirlwind romance, she starts to believe in the power of the talisman the palm reader has given her. But what Annabel doesn’t know is that Lilly is hiding a secret that could unravel her faith in her newly found luck in love.

Reading is Fashionable: Good Book Hunting-Book List!!!
I realized I haven’t posted a Good Book Hunting: Book List in quite some time and to be honest with you, I’m not sure why. Because I never and mean never, stop reading. LOL.
Once I finish one book, I always have about three more in waiting and I usually start on the next one, the very same day I finish the last one. I honestly prefer to read than watch television. Some may think that’s odd but hey, different strokes for different folks.
So here’s my Good Book Hunting: Book List. I’m not sure which one of these will turn out to be the Stand-Out Book Of The Week, but I’ll know by Sunday, so look out for that.
Well, enjoy!!

I love Grace Kelly, I grew up on old musicals. You know them (Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Bothers, Mary Poppins, Oklahoma, etc.), and black & white movies ( Rear Window, Roman Holiday, High Society, Breakfast at Tiffany’s , Citizen Kane, etc. ). Don’t even get me started on the period pieces.
For a very long time, these are the types of movies my father would let my siblings and I watch. Our first main stream movie had to have been: Terminator. I can laugh about it now and despite the weirdness of it all, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love those types of movies. Anyway, when I saw this book based on Grace Kelly, you know I had to have it!
