Bergdorf Goodman’s Got the Goods!!!
I got a cute promo gift from Bergdorf Goodman, that I’ll definitely be putting to good use. I have to admit that I haven’t shop at Bergdorf Goodman in about a year and that is quite sometime. I think it’s a result of when I was in grad school and trying to be more fashionably frugal. Well, I went on-line to Bergdorf Goodmam, since that’s my preferred method of shopping, to check out the Shoe Salon and of course Sale section (keeping it fashionably frugal), to see what catches my fancy. LOL. Oh, did I mention that I love the picture for the promo gift-as seen below. Yep, I LOVE IT! Well, be sure to visit Bergdorf Goodman, either in person or online and see what catches your FANCY!!! Fashion Night Out was more like Fashion Night-In- Sigh.
Well, it turned out that the rain was indeed a deterrent for me, when it came to going to Fashion Night Out. I argued with myself and my friends and I kept changing our minds. It turned out that for whatever reason, not being in the heart of Wash,DC added another layer of what to do, because of the possibility of traffic, on the beltway. In the end though, I decided to just sit this one out, order in and watch a deng movie. While I was not a happy camper, I was glad I got to watch Obama’s Job Speech. Well, below is a picture of what I had planned to wear to Fashion Night Out. I’ll just have to wear it somewhere else and in the words of one of my fav’s Tim Gunn, make it work!!! I can’t wait to post pictures of when I actually put all the finishing touches together. Enjoy, Keep Blogging and Laters- Oby Zara animal print shirt and Macy’s Slik top. Reading Is Fashionable: Good Book Hunting: Lucky Charm
I just finished a wonderful book called Lucky Charm by Marie Astor and I can very well see this book converted into a movie. As a lover of Fashion, Art and creativity, I love that most of the characters in the book, Annabel- an advertising copy writer, Lilly- an aspiring fashion designer, Meridith-an aspiring pastry chef?, Etienne-works with Hollywood and yes even Jeremy- who is an aspiring author Not (you’ll see what I mean), are all involved in creative careers. The book highlights the unfortunate happenings of love lost, the fortunate & unexpected happenings of love found, and all that often encompasses both. Mostly, I adore that the women in the book were all of strong characters. Well check out more about the Author and the Book Description and be sure to buy the book at Amazon. It’s a must read!!!! Longing for London :( Part 1- Scenic Streets of London
It’s now been a bit over a year since I visited London and had a world wind summer intensive stay for grad school-which I officially completed and graduated from in May. So yes, I’ve been a proud Johns Hopkins University alumni for a few months now. While my time in London was filled with early mornings, long days and sleepless nights, from doing homework, projects or reading and not partying LOL, I loved every minute of it and would never, ever trade that time for anything else. It was a once in a lifetime trip and I had a blast, visiting the most coveted of London museums such as my favorites Victoria & Albert Museum & The Museum of London. As well as, The British Museum, both the Tate Modern and Tate Britain, The Ashmolean & Oxford-yah!!!!. National Gallery, The Wallace Collection, and The Horniman Museum. I got to see artifacts up-close and in person, that I’d only ever seen in pictures or read about in books. Some of the things I miss most are... Read More
