Feature Friday! Jacqueline Moranti-Part 1!
Jacqueline Davis-Moranti is a freelance fashion stylist, fashion illustrator/graphic designer, and the face behind Burgandywishpers.com, a blog dedicated to fashion & JacquelineMoranti.com, that’s dedicated to her illustrations. Jacqueline likes to consider herself a renaissance woman and says “ lately I find myself taking on many creative jobs, outside of what I went to study in college. I’m originally an illustrator that has always conceptualized fashion into the mix. I can’t help it if I like to make my characters look trendy! “
Fashion Stylist looks by Jacqueline:
Jacqueline believes that drawing fashion is a key attribute that has helped her with shopping! She feels that “being able to draw clothes creates a list in my mind for what I may want to buy, it helps me figure out what I want when I’m in a store so that I know exactly what I’m looking for rather than buying whatever that jumps out at me. Same goes for styling”.
Jacqueline, gets very involved with the styling process and says “when I get hired to work with a client, I like to ask about dislikes and likes, favorites, hobbies and the such. With that information I’ll draw up a few images based on the answers. It’s a way of organizing myself.” For Jacqueline, both the art of illustration and fashion go hand in hand and she states “studying fashion illustration is what encouraged me to fashion styling, and wardrobe consulting. It helped me understand fashion trends and fashion forecasting and my natural instinct for fashion!”
