Aligning Style with Alton Lane & Hal Rubenstein
On Thursday, I had the pleasure of going to Alton Lane where Hal Rubenstein, fashion director of InStyle magazine and one of its founding editors, was on hand signing his books ’100 Unforgettable Dresses for the ladies and The Gentry Man: A Guide for the Civilized Male, for the fellas. The Alton Lane showroom located in the very hip Dupont Circle area, was welcoming to both the ladies and the gents; and I have to admit, it was so refreshing to see so many wonderfully dressed men out and about. Hal Rubestien himself was so sophisticated yet friendly and approachable. He signed countless books, took a host of pictures and chatted with anyone who might have had a quick question or just wanted to ask about his many years in the business and his background. All in all, it was a wonderful event and I’m so glad to have met and chatted briefly myself with the very dapper Mr. Hal Rubenstien! Well, that’s all for now folks!
Enjoy and be Inspired!
