My Trip to London! Day 2-The British Museum

The Art Scene

It’s day two of my summer seminar abroad and today we visited the British Museum. WOW! There were so many things that I’ve read about or studied in class that call the British Museum home, e.g.,  the Parthenon/Elgin Marbles,  The Rosetta Stone, the Assyrian Sculptures, African Art, etc.  So,  it was great to see them in person! There’s just something about being able to see the physical details, scale, height, weight and volume of works of art that can’t be duplicated in images or online. Here are some of the pictures I took. Enjoy!

    • Hi Sofie, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the comment. By the way, I do plan to add the rest of the days and pictures from my visit to the other museums I visited while in London. That should be up in a few days so be sure to stop by again.
